Craigs Investment Partners continues its holiday tradition of giving back, donating $1,365 to local foodbanks through Clutha Foundation. This generous contribution was made possible through Craigs' Workplace Giving Programme, allowing employees to give directly from their pay, which Craig's matches up to $500 per employee each year.
This initiative allows the Craigs team to make a meaningful impact in their local communities, especially at Christmas when many families face added challenges.
The Gore branch gathered as a team to decide where their donations would have the biggest impact. Support Manager Rachael Hickey says their motivation for donating to foodbanks is simple "It feels good to help others so they can still celebrate the holidays, even if they have nothing to spare themselves. Our hope is that we make Christmas a bit better for local families."
This year Craigs employees selected these local foodbanks to support:
Clutha Food Hub
Milton Foodbank
West Otago Foodbank (run by Church on the Way)
Lawrence Foodbank (run by Tuapeka Combined Churches)
Craigs' commitment to giving back reflects the power of businesses supporting their communities, not just during the holidays, but all year round. Their generosity helps ensure Kiwi families can experience the joy of the season, even in challenging times.
