DO YOU WANT TO LEAVE A CHARITABLE GIFT IN YOUR WILL?
Many Kiwis choose to donate to a cause they care about through a gift in their wills. The community foundation model of giving ensures that this gift becomes a lasting legacy that will continue to benefit that cause for generations to come.

We were very pleased to welcome Sir Stephen Tindall, John McCarthy and Eleanor Cater to Clutha on August 11 to speak at our Inspiring Generosity event. It certainly was an inspiring evening. Sir Stephen, founder of the Warehouse, the Tindall Foundation and K1W1, spoke passionately about the joy of giving and some of the many ways in which he and his wife Margaret have supported communities and start-up businesses throughout the country. John McCarthy, manager of the Tindall Foundation, and Eleanor Cater, Executive Officer of Community Foundations NZ, explained the community foundation giving model and gave many examples of how local generosity can provide ongoing income for local causes through this model. We hope that others were inspired by our vision of how the Clutha District can grow its own sustainable funding through local philanthropy.
