Clutha Foundation awards $39,500 to local community groups

Fourteen charitable organisations across the Clutha District received a welcome funding boost from Clutha Foundation’s latest grant round.

This year, Clutha Foundation prioritised projects that promote health and wellbeing. “With the rising cost of living, many people in our communities are doing it tough,” says Jess Weichler, Administration & Relationship Support at Clutha Foundation. “When money is tight, one of the first things people sacrifice is their health.  We want to ensure no one has to choose between their wellbeing and making ends meet.”

The funding supports a diverse range of projects, from physical fitness equipment, mental health programmes, and food and medical service vouchers.

“By supporting these community groups, we’re reducing financial barriers and building a healthier Clutha District,” says Ms. Weichler. “Our ability to give back to the Clutha community is thanks to the generosity of our incredible donors. Their gifts enable us to create a lasting impact that will ripple across the district for generations.”
