The team at Tuapeka Community Health believe everyone in their community deserves access to quality healthcare. Their Pay It Forward fund provides discreet, no-questions-asked support for people who need financial help to access essential medical care.
This initiative was the first to receive funding from the Lawrence Tuapeka Community Fund, marking an important milestone for the area.
General Manager Allana Wallis says "Our Pay It Forward account was established in 2023, when a caring community member decided to cover the flu vaccinations for two other community members. Since then members of our community who wish to help others can ask us to add funds to the Pay It Forward account. This account is always in credit, meaning funds are available to help those who need financial assistance access the healthcare they require."
